PS4 New game update required.

I am new to ps4 and cannot play battlefield 1 online as it says a new game update is required. what does this mean, how do i fix it?

Hello @jamesruport 

Once the game fully installed, it should upgrade itself automatically, but you can force an upgrade. Select the game and press Options button. Select Check for updates and the game should update itself.

Let me know if you are still having troubles running the game.

I went to options and their is no update Option. I honestly just don't understand why my other Battlefield works fine and my other EA games online also work fine

    Hey @CoLoRadoz_Finest,

    Have you tried verifying the files in your PS4 settings, or doing a clean uninstall/reinstall of Battlefield 1?

    After you try these, I would do a hard reset on your PS4 (Unplug for a couple minutes, plug it back in) and launch Battlefield 1 again.

    Also, are you sure that your PS4 didn't automatically update Battlefield?

      Honestly the craziest thing it hasn't been working for weeks I feel like and then all of a sudden it said there was an update for it , updated currently online now lol
      I really appreciate the help and fast response man👌
