I've been experiencing the same problem for months now. I have my heli buttons set to veteran so the only button for freelook is up on the d pad, and if i hold the button that is supposed to engage freelook then suddenly it acts 'normal' and stays centered disengaging freelook. The problem seems to be a continuous and nearly unavoidable freelook mode in the helicopters.
