Re: Installing Hardline (Disc) doesn't work

Hey, i had the exact same problem when i got mine just now,

Here's my solution:

1. Go to your hard drive.

2. Program Files(86x).

3. Find Origin (not Origin Games).

4. Uninstall Origin.

5. Then go to 'My Computer'

6. Open the BFH disk

7. And finally run the 'setup.exe' should be the last one.

This will re-install origin, and you will still have your games and it should start copying BFH from the disk to install.

Hope this helps.

For others that have this problem another way is to simply redeem the CD key in the Origin "redeem code" feature. This will provide the digital copy of the game without the need for installation from physical media.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately didn't work for me. I have retail discs also and started installing when Origin "encountered an error". As luck would have it, the error happened right after I had entered the code. So now Hardline is in my games list but will only let me download from Origin.

Have tried everything including disconnecting from internet but still no go.

The game is 30gb and I am on wireless and only get 30gb per month so it is a very expensive download especially after purchasing the game at retail as well.

I have raised a help ticket, so am hoping they get back to me soon. Can't get on to advisor chat either....day or night.

    Cheers

  • there is another easy way which use your product ,and download it from orgin

    Hi,

Same problem here. Here is how I managed to install BFH from DVD. First install and log into the Origin account. With Origin opened and logged in go to 'My Computer', open the CD/DVD drive (don't double click it, just right click and select 'Open'), then right click on the 'Autorun.exe' and select "Run as Administrator", then 'Continue' and voila, it automatically starts to copy the game files from 5 dvds subsequently into Origin.

    Hope it helps,
