Switching computers

ok so i just got a brand new gaming laptop for christmas which runs windows 8, i am selling my old gaming desktop which has windows 7 to help pay for most of what the laptop costs. there is only one problem,when i transfered battle field 4 and battle field 3 to my new laptop i tried booting the game up installing all of the updates and plug ins to the two games, each time i try to enter a server it tells me battlefield stopped working checking for a solution, this is bothering me very much because this laptop was a very expencive purchase that i am not able to play my two favorite games on please help thank you
