Test connection to BF1 server Australia

I've been experiencing the 'server disconnected' issue when trying to join multiplayer games.  I can join games without any problem if I connect through VPN or mobile hotspot so I don't think the issue is at my end.  Probably has to do with packet loss somewhere along the way so would like to test the connection to the BF1 server(s).  I'm in Australia, how do I find out what BF1 server IP address(es) to test?

  • Quick update - issue has been fixed.  The EA helpdesk, although very responsive, were not that helpful - they just pointed met to all the things I had tried already.

Then contacted my ISP again who suggested trying a port forwarding tool.

Downloaded a tool called 'smart port forwarding' from a website called softpedia.com.  Created 1 rule for port UDP 3659 (picked that one as a lot of posts seem to mention problems with 3659). Before launching BF1 i run the tool and activate the 3659 forwarding rule and voila, I've had no more server disconnected errors since.

I did have manually created forwarding rules for port 3659 in my router and also in windows 10 - not sure why those didn't work and it does work when using that tool.

Anyways, I've rolled back all the other settings I tried previously, and the port forwarding tool works fine still, so I'd recommend giving it a go for those who've had the same server disconnected issue.

    Cheers.
