Unable to launch BF3 on PC

No such luck after a clean reinstall. Immediately got an error unable to launch/connect when trying to launch the campaign/join a server through Battlelog on Chrome :\

Just got an error ' Could not communicate with BF3' .

The error sometimes appears when I first try to launch via Battlelog, however, this does not appear all the time. I just tried again, and did not get the error message, however, I am still stuck in the same way when trying to launch the campaign:

This is what it looks like. It just hangs here. The error I sometimes get is 'Could not communicate with Battlefield', with the bottom blue bar appearing red/orange after this.

On a second attempt to launch the game via Battlelog, I did get an error:

'Something went wrong'.

When I try to join a MP server, it hangs for a long time whilst trying to join, before getting this:

@ChrisM127okay when it says Intializing does no Bf3 Icon apears?

Okay some Trys:

1. Try to Restart youre PC and try to start all Programms step by step, it can be that someone conflicts with that.

2. try it with an Ccleaner

3. Update all Drivers.

4. Update youre DirectX

5. Update your Microsoft .NET Framework

6. Update your Visual C++ (when u have that=

7. Try to start the game as an Administrator

8. Try to deaktivate youre firewall or anti virus programm

9. Download some Files they are System file checks. (http://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/290301) I have them only in german because i am from Austria!!

10. Have u Windows 10 or 8 or 7?

11. Try an Celanboot

Hi @Aloisdidnothing , no such luck so far.

I've made sure that BF3 is allowed through the firewall, and have updated all drivers and downloaded windows updates. I have also tried running as an admin.

The way in which I try to launch the game is as follows:

Open desktop BF3 icon > login to Origin > manually go to Battlelog, login and click play campaign/find a server to join.

I have also tried:

Manually go to Battlelog, login and click play campaign/find a server to join > login to Origin after prompt.

None of these approaches have worked so far.

To answer your previous questions, I am running Windows 10, and the BF3 programme icon never appears in my bottom programmes bar/tray at any point in this. I also do not have a Documents/Battlefield 3 folder present either (not sure if that last part was relevant).

@ChrisM127  Chrome\Chromium based browsers are the issue here.  In order to launch BF3 without issue I have to use Internet Explorer (not Edge as it's Chromium based) and then go into Battlelog settings and choose to use the plugin to launch BF3 and not the plugin free method. After doing that BF3 launches normally for me almost 100% of the time.

@ragnarok013 Sorry, but no such luck, I've tried IE as well and nothing is working. I made sure to untick the box telling me to use the plugin free launch. Both campaign and MP still not working, I get the same issues as before, stuck forever on joining with the aforementioned errors from time to time. I noticed on  various screenshots I've seen that people tend to have some sort of button in the top right to download the plugin, which I cannot see. Also, at no point does the BF3 programme icon even appear in my bottom tray. It's like it can't even start the game.
