Unable to launch BF3 on PC
Hi, fist time playing BF3 on PC. I start by opening Origin. Then I go onto chrome, login to Battlelog for BF3. I then try to launch the campaign and am stuck in 'Initialising'. I have the same issue ...

IDK if this is of any relevance, but a few months ago I merged my old Origin account into my new/main one, and BF3 was on my old account (though I imagine this shouldn't be a problem as licenses have been transferred over)
@ChrisM127 It could be something to do with the PCs updates it might not work well with older games
@Whingey_Mingey what OS and update do you play BF3 on?
I've been having the same problem as you for months!
Tried reinstalling, repairing, task manager priorities, administrator and everything else I can think of. The conclusion I have come to is that a Graphics driver broke it somehow. But that doesn't make any sense when I haven't found anyone else complaining about this issue. Really sad cause this is my favourite battlefield and I haven't played it in, as I said, months ☹️

@ragnarok013 I have just re-ran those clean up scripts just, having launched origin as an admin. I have tried both having origin open before hand and letting it be opened from battlelog. No such luck im afraid : \ Worth noting when I run the cleanup and touchup tools, after hitting run, nothing seems to pop up/appear. It's getting really annoying not being able to play rn, nothing seems to be working :\
- @ChrisM127 hey, I must say I find no Error or missing in this files... I don't know... do any file missing or something? U are from America? Because much people has problems on the American servers.
- @ChrisM127 do u can try the game on a other pc or laptop with the same account?? When this goes than u must have some driver failure I would say

Battlefield 3 not working when Initializing
Possible Solution:
1: Navigate to {PC username} > My Documents >Battlefield 3 > settings.
2: Here you should be able to find a file named PROF_SAVE_BODY. Open this file, if it is completely blank you have found the roots of your problems, if the file is not blank this may not be your problem and this guide is unlikely to help you.
3: Delete this file.
4: Then open Origin and right click on Battlefield 3 in your game library.
5: Select "Show Game Details" and select the "Cloud storage" option next to "Details".
6: Deactivate Cloud Storage for Battlefield 3 or for all Origin games.
7: Now you can join a server. Battlefield 3 will notice that the file is missing and make a replacement file, this file will be using correct data and your problem should now be resolved.

- @ChrisM127 well, u must have in youre documents "Battlefield 3", in there u must have the settings for the play with the name "meta" / "PROF_SAVE_body" / "PROF_SAVE_header" and "PROF_SAVE_profile"
Don't know when it helps to kopie that and send it to you dont know haha - @Aloisdidnothing yeah I definitely do not have a 'Battlefield 3' folder in my Documents.

@Aloisdidnothing ok, are these the files from the Battlefield 3 folder in My Documents? If so, are they not specific to you and your PC, or are they generic? Will I need to like delete any profile files etc. ?

- @ChrisM127 via, "wetransfer.com" there u can upload files and send it to the person on E-mail then the person gets the link to this site and can download it and evola u have the files but how I say I dont know if it works
go for it, I still havent fixed it yet, hopefully these files will help. Still no idea why I have no Battlefield 3 folder in my documents.
