so lets say I got my hands on a used copy of Bad Company 1 and 2, can I use the code that was possibly used on another console for the multiplayer before or do i need to contact EA about this and for the code?

Is this code for the online pass that was a part of our PS3/Xbox 360 games about 10 years ago? If so, unfortunately, we won't be able to give those out. That was removed quit a while ago so I don't think it's required now. If it's still asking you for the code, I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about it.
