VIOLATION (GAMEHACK) 81518

Hi,

Now before I say anything I'm going to say I'm fully prepared for the kneejerk reaction of "You're guilty" but I don't care right now. On the tenth I was playing Starbound, I used Cheat Engine (http://www.cheatengine.org/) to make the ore piles in my inventory larger, I forgot to close Cheat Engine when I closed Starbound (It was on my second monitor) and went to play BF4. I was kicked by Punkbuster for having Cheat Engine up.  I shrugged, close CE and decided to play something else for a bit. The same thing happened on the twelth, once again on my second monitor, Later that day when I attempted to join my clan server once I found my friends had joined I was told that I had been banned for "VIOLATION (GAMEHACK) 81518" which, according to a bit of research is Cheat Engine.

It wasn't hooked into BF4 or any Punkbuster game. I was using it on a singleplayer world of a completely different game that wasn't even running when I started BF4 so it wasn't hooked into anything at all. While I do realise that Cheat Engine can probably be used in some with in BF4 I expect that the client is not trusted by the server so any changes made by it would be pointless. That is far from its only use though and, considering it wasn't hooked into anything. I've contacted Evenbalance but I have only received the canned reply of it "not being in error" considering that I didn't have it hooked into any thing at all, let alone BF4 I think that is in error. This isn't a tool that's one purpose is to cheat in Battlefield 4. This is a program that MIGHT be able to be used to cheat in Battlefield 4 along with many other different purposes.

I now have two games that I payed for that are useless to me (BF3 & 4) as they share a GUID because of forgetting to close a program that wasn't doing anything at all. Valve's "VAC" only scans the game's memory, Blizzard's "Warden" only says to close Cheat Engine. Frankly I don't want to have to create a seperate account and buy BF4 again plus premium. I know I can't get a refund as I purchased both games on launch day but I'm hoping that SOMETHING will come of this.

    Cheat/Hack Violations: 
    When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher.

     

    To help resolve issues involving these violations, simply remove cheats and hacks from your computer. 

     

    #50000s - Aimbot 
    #60000s - Wallhack 
    #70000s - Multihack 
    #80000s - Gamehack 
    #90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers 
    #100000s - Speedhack 
    #110000s - Autofire 
    #120000s - Game Hook 
    #130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack 
    Where can I go to appeal? 
    EA Game Advisors cannot overturn a PunkBuster Ban. 

    To appeal, you will need to open an appeal ticket with Even Balance [evenbalance.com], who will be able to further assist you with your issues.
