[BFV][CRASH 6/6] Scoping in fully with M3 Infrared instantly crashes the game.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have my PC specs and latest drivers as of writing
  2. Launch BFV in DX12 Enabled to on
  3. Load into a game with the M3 Infrared sniper as primary weapon in the sniper class.
  4. Scope in.
  5. Result: Instant crash of the game.

Sucess rate so far with DX12: 6/6 times.

With DX12 not on: 0/3

My specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT

Sidenote: I also have random 5 seconds of lag, on the CPU side, according to the Perfoverlay.drawgraph 1. I have not troubleshoot this yet, since it goes away with DX12 off.

My fix so far has been to:

  1. Not use the M3 Infrared. (Bummer, I wanted to try it)
  2. Not have DX12 on (Bummer, I wanted to try Raytracing)

Any tips for troubleshooting further or resolving the issue

If you want to use M3 Infrared, just set to DirectX 11 modes, there's no fix since the dawn of Battlefield V. They wouldn't bother fix it back then, why do you think EA will fix let alone response to your inquiry decades later?

For random lag or micro stuttering, just turn off any visual effect like motion blur, depth of field and leave LOD Level of Details to Medium. It ain't worth RayTraced the game since only applies to water and only messing with your aim / annoying reflection.
