Cannot launch Battlefield V

Hey. I bought XBOX Game Pass which contains EA Play, and I want to play with BF V on PC. I downloaded EA Desktop, had some problems installing the game, then I need to download everything again. Now I can't even launch the game, it just closes without any error. I tried several possible solutions, but none of them works for me. Support can't help me because there is no error reported to Windows. Battlefield 4 works without any issues.

    After a full reinstallation of Windows, it works now. I don't know what went wrong, but it's fine now! 🙂

    Yep, EA Support also said that, but XBOX Game Pass only works with EA Desktop. Thanks tho.

    @senti180 

    Do you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? If not, you won't be able to play the games on PC.

    Have you tried uninstalling the game and EA Desktop from your PC, then tried installing EA Desktop from the Xbox app to see if that helps get your game to run? The team is aware of some games having trouble launching through EA Desktop and that has been a reliable workaround.

    Yep, I have Ultimate.

    I've tried uninstalling the EA Desktop app, then I tried reinstalling multiple times either from the XBOX app and from the EA website. Nothing changed.

    Have you gone through the basics by checking your PC for any updates that are pending and check your video card to see if it has the latest driver update?

    It could be a program running in the background causing BFV to not launch. Can you try a clean boot and then immediately launch it as administrator to determine whether this is the case? If the game runs, I would open up one program at a time before launching it again to narrow down what software you generally run in the background could be causing it.

    Yep, I've tried everything. A clean boot without any services running (except the EA Background service) doesn't change anything, Windows and GPU driver are on the latest version.

    I did a reinstall (EA Desktop and BFV too), and it's still not working. I'm really lost lol
    EDIT: After a clean GPU Driver reinstall with DDU, the problem is still not solved.

    @senti180 Glad to hear it's fixed and you're quite dedicated to re-install Windows just to play, BFV. See you on the battlefield!

    @senti180 I had the same issue. I have reinstalled the game 3x now and repaired it every time before opening. I get a really long message saying "when you play battlefield v your games stats and presence.." etc and once I click OK the game closes. Were you experiencing this as well or did it just crash without showing this message?
