A SBM has no room to exist in the Battlefield franchise in my opinion. Implimenting a system like this would enforce removing the server browser, which has been a vital part of the BF title from the beginning.
Furthermore, there is no skills balancing needed. We had no skill based balancing before and still the games worked great. They just need to go back to the team scrambeling after every round. You could even leave the squads together. Yes there still might be some unbalanced rounds, but the real problem with BFV is, that server stay unbalanced for hours because the teams never change.
