Why can't I get one hit kills with the krag jorgensen sniper rifle, and even when I do, I would have to be very close, like assault or support class range, and most of the time other sniper rifles kill me with one hit headshots, even before I get close to having a headshot myself, so my real question is, What are the advantages of having the krag compared to other sniper rifles?, because I can't really find any, and how do I make the best use of those advantages so I won't have such a bad k/d ratio when I'm trying to do the challenges or assignments for that gun?

All bolt-actions will deliver a one hit kill via headshot - I think only the Boys AT and Panzerbische are capable of killing with a single hit to the body (you need to be 10-100 feet away for this to happen, however).Iirc, the Jorgenson is one of the most accurate rifles in the game. Personally I find the ZH-29 wayyyy too godly to pass up but if you need to max out the Krag, make sure to use it's Low Drag Rounds and bipod for extreme ranges.

@keitheatherly The Krag does have the lowest base damage of the bolt action rifles together with the K31/43. However, compared to the other bolt action rifles it does not have any damage drop over range. It is a one hit kill to the head, so you probably got something wrong.- did you really hit headshots?- was it a wallbang? Penetrable objects reduce damage.- have you played on a community game server? Soldier health can be changed there.

Sorry @TRACKBALL23 but that's incorrect. None of the SLRs (ZH-29, Selby 1906, AL8 etc) OHK with headshots if the enemy is full health. It's the main complaint with these guns when it comes to the headshot kill requirements for some of the masteries, as it makes the task even harder.

It´s the by far best sniper rifle so keep grinding. Once you get an understanding of bulletdrop and bullet velocity you will profit. Playing on low ping server will defenately help you shooting moving targets. I´ll find Al Sundan and Hamada and Aerodrome good maps for trying to get your assignment.

you have to press "steady aim" and then maybe you get a headshot....as for bolt action I don't ever use them because I get same damage on ZH which is not bolt action as well......

@TRACKBALL23That is not correct. The ZH-29 does have lower base damage compared to all the bolt action rifles. Therefor it is not a one shot kill to the head. That said, it is still very powerful.

If you're lying down and you shoot and have a scope glint then, then you're just an easy head target, and by the time you get up and move it's too late

If it doesn't have any damage drops over range compared to other sniper rifles, then what's the use of having low drag rounds combined with zeroing and a tripod?

I also took my time with headshots, and made sure it wasn't a wall bang, and 1 out of 3 things happen, I miss, I only did 34 damage or I took too long to line the perfect headshot and get killed by somebody else, especially other sniper rifles. I just can't be sure if I lined up the headshot right or else I'll take too long, and many times I don't get a single shot out of the krag to know if my aim was off.

I try playing patiently but I take too long and can't even pull off a sing shot before an enemy ( including other snipers) take me out, or I'll Play aggressively and either miss or only do 34 damage, because it wasn't a perfect headshot.

I do use study aim! In fact I have it tied to the same button as the ads trigger button, so when I aim down site I'm automatically holding my breath, which is faster then pressing in on the left stick button, so you can move and shoot while your holding your breath easier.
