More transparency about Anti-Cheat

Dear EA/DICE Forum Team,

I just wanted to ask why some cheaters can continue playing for weeks, months or longer without any intervention by Dice/EA.

I understand BFV has reached EOL, but there still should be at least some capacity to deal with a big problem like this.

If each release of this franchise leads to ,not just a shift in priority, but the neglecting of a still very active community, I can't see myself buying Battlefield 2042, because it probably will be abonded just as well, as soon as the next game comes around.

The community would also have a lot more trust in Dice fixing BF2042 if there isn't still a big problem left with BFV.

Thank you for reading this! I would appreciate any kind of answer why the cheating problem is handled the way it is, if only to get some clarification!

  • This ignorant view of taking anticheat and totally ignoring it and banning talking about it is one of the reasons EA/DICE will never get another cent out of me,the other reason is I paid $109 AUD for this game and a week later it was half price. The only way to hurt them is to NOT give them money.

  • I also would like an explanation as to why only a fraction of the blatant cheaters I run into and report appears to eventually get banned, and why most of them are allowed to continue cheating for several months, scoring statistically impossible stats day after day and spoiling the game for tens of thousands of players.

  • @Phyton21 Unfortunately EA has a messed up view of expecting other users to snitch on cheaters, rather than a proactive approach. There are still bugs in BF V and Exploits that haven't been fixed at EOL, you really think they will care about cheating? Their Anti-Cheat is just lip service to hopefully distract you long enough for them to develop and release a new game that will have the same problems. After many years of empty promises from EA I have no faith in them anymore to produce a quality product that will be cheat and exploit free. Especially since they never fullfiled their BF V anti-cheat approach.

@ElliotLH 1 quick question, Why is it the users responsibility to catch the cheaters? Isn't that your job, having the users catch and report is the biggest cop out ever. I mean the Terms of Service from EA make it pretty clear EA is the one who will be enforcing this not the users as you took the tools away for this when you went to your current server model.

Hello there, if you suspect cheaters in any of our games, I recommend looking at our article on reporting players.

As per our message here, I will be closing this topic.
