Online friends looks like offline!

There was another post about this earlier (Friends appear offline and can't join squad | EA Forums - 12030915), so it might be an issue with the EA App. It might be worth keeping an eye on it for the time being in case it's resolved, although it could also be worthwhile opening a case with EA Help (even if they can't help, they might be able to give you some information). If you wanted to contact them, you should be able to open a case at https://help.ea.com.

Just wanted to let you know that I raised this after commenting earlier and I've just heard that it was fixed last night. Hopefully, that's the case for you.
