- We need Dxdiag, to see what Hardware and drivers you are using.
- Attached. Note: XMP enabled in bios, running memory at 3200 mhz. Video card RX 5700 running RX 5700 XT firmware. No CPU overclock. Brand new motherboard, ram, video card, CPU as of November. Runs all other games without issues.
- What did you do just before the crash happen?
- Nothing in particular; just running around.
- Does it happen in all game modes?
- I was playing team death match this time, was happening last night on the main battle of the pacific conquest.
- Does it always happen at the same action/place?
- No specific time/place. But it happens every single round. I downloaded the game a few weeks ago and played maybe 1 round without issues. Then I picked it back up yesterday and it is non stop crashing to desktop with no errors - it crashes anywhere from a couple minutes to 15 minutes in. I have yet to complete a full round of any game mode.
- I did a game repair, then I reinstalled the entire game yesterday. Also did the cache clear per instructions online. Neither have resolved anything.
- Time & date of when the issue happen, add in what time zone you are in. (Example: 01/01/20 - 15:45 GMT)
- Most recent was 9:30am PST
I'm not sure if this will be the case with others. But I may have resolved the issue.
I had an outstanding windows 10 update, KB4530684, that had been failing to install with error 0x80073712 (missing or invalid file).
I had to jump through more than a few hoops to repair my windows install to run the update. After repairing and running the update, the game seems to run stable. I successfully completed 2 full rounds of the pacific war, last night and this morning the game was crashing every time I tried to play anything.
So I'd be curious if other windows 10/windows 8 users have a pending windows update to run that may also resolve things.
Very unrelated unless someone is failing the windows update with the same error, but I went through these steps:
Which then failed with this error: 0x800f081f
Then followed this: https://www.wintips.org/fix-dism-0x800f081f-error-in-windows-10-8/
Which involved creating a windows 10 iso, extracting a file from it, and then running the dism utility again.
-edit-
Scratch all that, joined a game on pacific storm and crashed within 60 seconds.
