Possibly interesting update on this issue: I just tried it with lower graphics settings (Low preset, 1024x720 resolution @ 60Hz, HDR Off, Future Frame rendering Off, Framerate limiter: monitor refresh rate) and the game ran way longer than before but sadly still crashed. I was able to play a full match and a half of Conquest and then it crashed when the match ended, probably after about 30 to 40 minutes of gameplay. With graphics settings maxed out, it crashed much quicker (after about 5 or 10 minutes).
I'm not sure what exactly, if anything, this tells us but I thought it would be useful information to share. Perhaps the GPU is getting overwhelmed after all, and it takes longer to get to that state when on low graphics settings. However, I still can't imagine how a GTX 1080 Ti is being overwhelmed by Battlefield V, especially on low graphics settings after only 40 minutes of gameplay O_O. Maybe it's a weird power issue? I'm so far not seeing this in other games, so I don't *think* it's the PSU but I could be wrong.
Great news!!! I FINALLY seem to have fixed this issue. Turns out the solution for me was... ::drum roll:: .... to re-install the game 😞 lol. Guess that's a lesson, don't overlook the simple/standard solutions first lol
