On top of the ongoing chat bug (for well over 3 weeks now, basically nobody can type/send messages), there’s a new major issue since the last 1–2 days: the servers are almost unplayable.
What’s happening:
This is not limited to one region — it affects both EU and Asian servers, and it happens on community servers as well as official DICE servers.
@MussoGoonie you say they dropped support but two years ago they added Anti Cheat for the first time to Battlefield V. And they performed Server maintenance in the year 2023 and put an announcement out on the forums stating so.
I believe we just need some server maintenance again to fix these issues.

We have so many servers all running on the same map rotation. Barely any servers running Operation underground.
So our server browser just shows Aerodrome conquest map rotation like 24/7
I also noticed My in game settings got reset for some reason. So had too redial all my settings in again.
And Platoon tags randomly not displaying next to players names.
The battlefield V servers need some much maintenance for sure. The game is spiraling down Hill with server issues.
I can confirm the game is now hitching in a way it never used to before.
I can't remember for sure when the issue started, but a couple of days ago sounds about right to me. Looking at some files on my PC I can see that Javelin received an update on the 20th, while the EA launcher received an update on the 22nd and then again on the 26th (UTC dates).
No system updates or other configuration changes on my end, this problem clearly stems from EA—as often is the case (remember when two months ago a faulty Javelin update caused some people's PCs to stutter any time they pressed a key? Good times. Still not 100% fixed, by the way).
At first, I thought it was just me since I play on my gaming laptop (portable for university), but it turns out this is a universal problem. The game keeps stuttering and dropping fps in game. But yeah DICE dropped game support so not much can be done. They are making players go to BF6 for sure with this move. Not gonna happen.
