Hi Atic,
I'm using EA Desktop BETA in windows 10 and have Gamepass for PC.
Same problem with all games; they launch once, then never again.
- @EA_Atic ??? gamepass with xbox bf5
any help with this issue?!?!?!
bumping for help+
- @yimmiy I'm having the same issue with Jedi Fallen Order, PC with Game Pass.... 0 help and no solution. I tried everything possible, game reinstall, EA Hot Garbage App reinstall, PC restart, everything.
- ElliotLH5 years agoHero+Hey @yimmiy Just checking that you're able to connect now?
There was an issue yesterday but it should be resolved now. - @ElliotLH Hi ElliotLH, im having the same issue as op. All my battlefield games started with failing to connect to EA servers on PC. I recently installed BF5 using EA Desktop and Xbox Game Pass, so i uninstalled thinking that would be the issue. This fixed the other battlefield games and they were able to connect to EA Servers, but after reinstalling BF5 i am prompted with:
"Your game failed to launch
An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."
Just for more information i was successfully able to download, install and play BF5 using EA Desktop over the weekend, the problems began sometime b/w tuesday-wednesday of this week. - @ElliotLH I'm still having the same issue OP has, but with Jedi Fallen Order. This has been going on for 3 days and I've reinstalled the game twice(on different drives), the EA Desktop app, restarted my PC, etc and nothing works.
I'm sitting on a literally useless EA Play subscription because the EA Desktop "Beta" decided to be the biggest garbage of a launcher I've ever used. Here's the solution of what worked for me, you just got to downgrade the EA Desktop Client.
1) Go to the EA Desktop client folder, normally "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop"
2) You should have two folders there, one named "EA Desktop" and another named "outdatedEADesktop".
3) Delete the "EA Desktop" folder and renamed "outdatedEADesktop" to "EA Desktop" (MAKE SURE THE SPACE IS THERE AS WELL)
4) After that, just relaunch and it should work
I've been on this for a couple days and tried almost everything. I hope this gives people relief.
