Haha! Right!? I rarely get through a game without a wtf moment.
Still, seems such an easy fix for such an improvement on the game. By far the most “bang for your buck” improvement.
The best improvement would be adding a character creator. Next is bringing the coach creator out from the trash hole that it is. but those seem much harder to add.
But I guess “bugs” come first lol 😂
Nick Saban was way over level 50, as I'm sure the great Bear Bryant was also. If they're making us start our dynasty's over for most of these bug fixes, I want unlimited POWER! haha

Wish they’d fix the issue where you don’t get job offers.

It was always a terrible, terrible design decision to have a cap at all. But setting it as low as it is takes it from being terrible to flat out mind bogglingly dumb. I disagree that it's a bad idea to cap it out, but I definitely agree the max cap feels to low. Many agree you cannot become the best at everything and so a cap is reasonable to many. Saban and Bear weren't the best at everything, they all have strengths and weaknesses. With that said, I had anticipated that when they said you couldn't do EVERYTHING that you ultimately would just not be able to level up everything within a 30 year dynasty. I didn't anticipate a cap, more so an expectation you would simply run out of time. For individual offline dynasties no cap is fine.
For Online Dynasties there should be a setting to control this (people can turn it off if they want). For many it is far more realistic to make players have to make choices on their coach and so turning it off entirely is also not the answer. The biggest flaw I find with the current setup, other than the low cap level is that you do not have any opportunity to adjust your abilities. The game incentivizes you to use your points ASAP, but many of the abilities aren't achievable until you nearly run out of points. At the point you get to powerful abilities you're out of points. At least that's what I see on more controlled leagues where making the CFP and winning a Natty every year isn't achievable. It takes time to meet those threshold but by the time that comes you've used your points.
- nocoolnamejim12 months agoRising Hotshot@TGCRequiem11 There is such a thing as TO realistic and some people would like the option to be the best at everything.
Just like some want to create some god-tier recruit with Create a Recruit.
Why shouldn't we have the OPTION to play the game as we like? (As you said, and I agree with.)
For me, there is no HARM done in not having a cap. People like you who don't want one don't have to spend the coach points beyond where they feel the cap should be. Others rather rapidly lose interest in continuing a dynasty when there is nothing more to be gained.
I think that you're onto something with Online vs. Offline dynasties. With so much of what EA does being geared towards multiplayer, I suppose it is not a surprise in the least that singleplayer faces some bafflingly inane decisions. We singleplayer gamers are ALWAYS an afterthought for EA.
Every time I fire up the game I just can't help but feel that the game feels rushed out. It needed at least another year to iron out so, SO, SOOOO many different issues. And that's just frustrating to me given how long it has been since the last one game out.
But something like this, a cap at level 50, is just BAD DESIGN. It isn't a "rushed" thing...it is a dumb decision making thing to artificially limit this for everyone whether it is desired or not.
It honestly makes the mode unplayable for me because there's nothing left to play FOR anymore after, like, three or four seasons.
