Certain Playbooks Not having Chemistry

It appears the "Pro Style", "Spread" "Option" and "Air Raid" offenses all do not have their respective chemistry for their playbooks to allow the boosts for those players. Hopefully we can have hotfixed ASAP.

  • @Wtfmymoney I saw that yesterday too. I was able to fix it by replacing the non-working playbook with another one, and then putting the 1st playbook back in. At some point the chem was registered, you may need to do this multiple times.

Going to try it for awhile, hopefully they fix it so that it works as intended.

  • I am having this too.

Does anyone know whether this forum counts as a bug report?

I believe there is a bug, and I can provide more information:  In particular, the books which do not give bonuses are missing a visible tag in game.  Each book has its name, for example "Pro Style Offense" or "3-3-5 Defense" as a label in large letters.  Then, at the bottom, in small centered letters, is an icon.  For the generic playbooks, these names match, while the school playbooks each have their associated ones.  But in some cases this icon is not present.  The ones that don't have the icon are the same ones that don't get the bonus.  This is likely some flag that isn't properly set and could be fixed very easily.  My list of the ones not working is the exact same as OP.

Exactly.  The two circles you drew, one playbook clearly has an icon for the type of playbook and another icon for the school, while the other playbook has only blank space.  Moreover, the blank playbook in your example is the generic "Pro Style" which is one of the ones that doesn't work for me, nor for OP, so that seems to be pretty consistent.  I can almost guarantee this is fixed with no code at all--just a dev has to go into the playbooks database and check the right boxes for the ones that are missing chemistry.  I would also note, for example, Veer and Shoot in your screenshot does have the small icons at the bottom, and for me that one does work--so I think the pattern is strong.
