Kicker stuck subbed For Qb

I have run into an issue in offline dynasty several times now where my kicker has been subbed in for my qb1 and I cannot find the cause. All other starters are in, no injury issue. My kicker is not listed as a backup. The only thing I can do is use a formation sub to get my qb2 in, but if my qb 1 is listed as qb2 it defaults back to the kicker, and doesn't allow a sub. Mass subs had no effect. It's as though he falls off the roster even though he's listed in my depth chart.
