Coach Suggestion Playbooks Show the Same Plays

Doesn't look like anything changed with the patch. The problem seems to be when you rate all your plays in your custom playbook its not translating into coach suggestions when playing a game. No matter how you rate your plays you'll still see the same 15 suggestions regardless of what situation you find yourself in. For example coach suggestions will want me to run a fullback dive on 4th and 60 and obviously I didn't rate a FB dive for the 4th and long scenario. Hope this helps. EA_Shepard​, thanks for acknowledging the issue and checking in. As far as I can tell, this update does not address the issue. 

Rated plays still appear in the same order/combination  every single time for each situation. I’ve attached a video clip of my first down play selections appearing in the exact same order/combination. 

Also, when using a custom playbook, the default recommendation for kickoffs are the onside options (also attached) .

[removed] this feature has been in EA games for years and they manage to break it and clearly have no idea how to fix it. So much for listening to the community

Update 8/6/25 — Still no fix. 

Big title update today, got excited because I saw in the notes for the patch that they would be fixing something that caused the same play to show up twice on coach suggestions. 

Was hoping this would be help this custom playbook issue…. Nope. Not at all.

still the same few plays suggested over and over no matter the ratings. So frustrating.

with the coach suggestions you can get to the line and make checks so much faster. Without it you get to the line later and then if you try and audible late you’re almost guaranteed to false start. Not to mention the rhythm aspect or just getting a better variety. 

I think tomorrow’s title update addresses this issue! “Updated play call suggestions to avoid duplicate play types in the same row”. 

We will see, but I hope this fixes it!

I haven’t been able to tell for sure, but I don’t believe this is an issue with basic playbooks. However, the basic ones have a limited amount of plays so it presents a similar problem.
