If you’re looking for tips on troubleshooting some common technical issues, here are some steps we suggest trying first:
Experiencing lag, disconnections, or trouble connecting to the servers?
Seeing an issue on Xbox Series X|S?
A good place to start with Xbox troubleshooting is power cycling your console. This can help with many of the most common issues we see. This process doesn't erase any of your games or data.
How to power cycle your Xbox console:
- Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
- Unplug the console’s power cable. Important: Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the console power cable back in.
- Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox.
Having an issue on PlayStation 5?
Power cycling is usually the best place to start with PlayStation troubleshooting. This can tackle many of the common issues you might run into.
How to power cycle your PlayStation console
- Touch the power button on the front of the PS5 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
- Turn it back on after 5 minutes. Launch the game.
Tip: If you're using an external hard drive for your console, whether or not it's for College Football 26, make sure all of the game updates are saved to the same storage drive. If the files are located on different drives it could cause errors or performance issues. If you have the game saved to an external storage drive, reinstalling it on the internal drive might help with crashes or errors.
We hope you're having fun with College Football 26, and we thank you for visiting us here on the forums!
