C & C Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge won't install.

Question

I am attempting to install Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge on my Pc which runs on Windows 10. I've run the installers as the administrator and changed my compatibility mode , yet it still refuses to even install.

The message about one minute into installation is:

Error: A redistributable package (WestwoodOnline.msi) was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (1618)

Is there a way of fixing this, any help given is appreciated.

Someone posted that exact issue on the C&amp;C Communications Center forum. Apparently, the Microsoft installer/uninstaller fix tool solved it for him:

Due to my PC OS being Windows 10 64 Bit the&nbsp;Microsoft installer/uninstaller fix tool will not run, thanks anyway.
