This is the first time iv'e ever had an issue with this game; iv'e even played it on the same computer without issue prior to this but it seems to be tempermental for some reason now.
The main issue is when i attempt to change the resolution from 800X600 to anything higher it says "Applying settings" Then flickers and spits out

Because of the severity of this error the game will now exit.
Apperently this is a known issue with the game since launch; iv'e found several posts on several different fourms dating back to 2006.
Most just had failing hardware or outdated drivers, but my driver is the latest Nividia Driver available for this chipset
:My Specs
OS-Win10 Pro
CPU-I7-4710MQ (4 Cores 4 Threads @2.5Ghz)
GPU-GTX 870M 6GB GDRR5 (Desktop Equlivilent GTX 660 Ti)
RAM-24GB DDR3 1600Mhz
I did attempt running under Adminstrator with Compatibility Mode for XP Service Pack 3 along with Win7
So if someone could help me that would be great.
Well it's good to have a clean from time to time anyway. 🙂
Back on the issue, can you try performing a full manual uninstall?https://help.ea.com/nz/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/
Then when you finish reinstalling, try repairing the game again.
Thanks.
