yeah, same thing they told me as well , but guess what? EA IS THE RETAILER in my case , and they didnt help me either so yeah. it is sad tbh that EA wont help us
Guys, which OS are your running? Did you make sure to update Steam to the latest version? And can you tell me in all honesty (otherwise nobody can help you) where you bought the actual game key? From steam directly or a (online) retailer? And if it was a retailer; from which retailer?
Edit: Didn't the guys from EA chat-support suggest to provide you guys with the Origin-version (Ultimate Collection version) of CNC 4?

Ea chat support was useless. Extremely useless. I have a physical copy and I bought it from amazon. But I’m just gonna try and sell it as it’s useless to me

They didnt even try to give us any solutions, so in my case i just gave up and stoped playing. Im disgusted that with all the proofs (and here i mean by providing a COPY of the reciepe i got when i boguth the game, the proof that i dont have the game on my account, and even the FACT THAT STEAM CONFIRMED that EA generated me a key that is already sold) ; ea support didnt gave a thing about my problem. SO after tons of money spent on CALLING USA support and France support , and even chat support, i just gave up because they way they treat customers its just a shame.
And as everyone can see, im not the only one having this issue and yet , no one from EA support is even bnother to answer. But the moderators gave me a warning 5 MINUTES after my post because i was telling the truth and yeah. how FAIR is that? NOT solving the real problem , but isntead war the user with the TRUTH in his hand.

@mrtnptrsBro chat support doesnt help in any way, the on response i've ever had from that is that ITS NOT EA FAULT i got a key GENERATED BY EA that is already used. How FAIR and COOL you find that? Its just a shame that customers have to experience such a bad SUPPORT even tho its EA fault for providing us expired KEYS or already USED ones
Edit : the even worst thing is that EA got our money and we didnt got the prodcut , and the support wont even care about it. THIS IS SAD (i've already printed all the conversations with EA chat support and i got all my calls recorded)

@TonaSarrin As you bought the already used key at Amazon, you should contact them about it; not Steam or EA. Can you send me a link to the exact Amazon-page where you bought the game from? Maybe I can help you a bit 🙂
@TERORISTU You sadly didn't answer any of my questions. Could you please answer all the questions from my last post in detail? Otherwise I can't work with you towards a solution/explanation for your problem.

@TonaSarrin did you buy a used disc? that is, has it already been unpacked? if so, then no one will help you, except the one who unpacked it for the first time and activated the key. The key is activated only once and is tied to only one EA account, which means that together with the open disk and the activated key, you should have been given the login + password to the ea account on which the key was activated, and this is prohibited by the EA license agreement and is generally unlikely that account has only one game and someone will give it to you ...

Why did you ignore @mrtnptrs questions?

Yes i bought my game via STEAM and i already contacted steam and even provided screenshots to EA support the SS steam answered steam where it says clearly that steam is only the gaming platform and all the cd-key are provided by EA wich , EA even confirmed me via CHAT that they are the ones who provided me that cd-key that is already used.

And yes, you probably ignored my message, because you only responded to it after two people asked you again to do it, which was a hour after I originally asked the questions. Next time try to read carefully and answer all the questions, so we can help you. Just to confirm: you didn't buy the Steam-key at more shady websites like G2A? We will see soon when you provide us with a screenshot of your order on Steam of CNC4 🙂

@TERORISTU Could you please avoid making multiple posts after each other? It is better to edit your old post and add information to it 🙂 Could you maybe provide us with a screenshot of the exact message you get about the already redeemed key?
Edit: the screenshot you provided is really strange: the game is currently not on sale and it is currently not 23,97 euro's (hasn't been for years). When did you bought it? It seems like a looooooong time ago when the game was still much more expensive? Which country are you from exactly, maybe that would explain it....

ANd yes as you can see i bought the game from STEAM not from i dont know what sites. I have over 10K euros invested only in game from steam, i dont trust any other sites or anything. when i enter the CD-KEY it say that there is a GENERAL ERROR and when i contacted EA , they are the one said that the cd-key was already redeemed and they cannot do anything. You want me to isntall the game and show you what it say?
PS ; sorry for my english , im not native so im trying my bestEDIT : look carefull because you can see on the SS i provided that i had a discount when i bought the game :faceplam:

- when you bought the game,
- when you first started it,
- when you tried to use the key for the first time?

@TERORISTU That is strange, because normally when you buy a game directly from the Steam-store, you don't have to enter in a key in any game. Is CNC4 somehow an exception to this? Where exactly do you enter the key? Could you maybe make a screenshot of the "generals error" you're getting 🙂
Edit: I meant that the original price without discount hasn't been that high for a loooooong time. So, indeed, when did you buy the game? And which country are your from? Which could maybe explain the high price....
- 6 years ago@MADrag0n When i bought the back back in 2011 i got the error and i've contacted EA by the time ,and they told me to wait for further investivations. Of course no one ever contacted me back so every year, since 2011 im trying to get that silly game i've bought.

@mrtnptrs Check steam , because there are alot of other games that give you CD-KEY to play , i wont name them because i risk to get ban for publicity , but just buy game and you see the ones with cd-keys you need to enter, i will start the download of the game and make a print screen once im on - 6 years ago
You did not answer my question exactly. I understand correctly, you bought the game, tried to start it and use the key at the same hour / day and get key error?

@TERORISTU Ok, that explains everything 🙂 Now we can help you. So, you have to enter the key in-game the first time you start it? Didn't know that as I only have the Origin-edition. And you got this error from the first day of purchase? You're sure you didn't enter the key already in 2011, coupled it to a old EA-account and now using a other EA account with which you can of course not activate the key again?

Edit2: apparently it is a issue many users have with the Steam-version. Aside from that it is a bad CNC-game, this explains the uberbad reviews.

@TERORISTU It has been 9 years since you bought the game and it really says the game code is already redeemed. It is almost impossible to see now where it did go wrong. I think you will have to contact EA again in a NICE WAY instead of being a bit hostile and ask them to provide you with a new key or deactivate that key after you showed proof that you really bought it, so you can reactivate it. Steam-support will indeed be useless as the "error" is on EA's side. Or maybe ask them with which account the code has been redeemed already? That could help you track down the cause of this. But please be just nice to them and don't start complaining about the "big evil EA" as they will then understandibly less likely to help you if you're not friendly to them. You could also ask them for a key to the Origin-version of the game as compensation....
