Command and Conquer Ultimate Collections - Fatal Error: String Manager failed to initialize properly

I just bought C&C Ultimate Collection and some of the games work but others (Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge, Tiberian Sun, and Command & Conquer 4) do not launch. When I clicke the game, i get "Fatal Er...

As far as I know, only RA2/YR gives that 'string manager' error... and it's caused by not being admin and/or not running in compat mode.

    Using Origin, I have set all *.EXE files to be compatible with Windows 95 and "run as administrator" , but I still get the error on Windows 7.

      Use WinXP SP3 compatibility mode. These games are a bit newer than Win95.

        Set compatibility settings to XP SP3, and still get the error.

        If I were sure that this error applied ONLY to RA 2, I might pay for RA 3 and the other C & C games in the pack.
