Obviously, Everyone is going to have problems!
The game does 2 radical level jumps at the end.
There should be a League in between Diamonds & Masters.
There should be a League in between Masters & Tiberuim.
Absolutely this. It would also solve the problem of too many Ex-Tiberium League players hanging around in Master League now.
But when going against level 11 artillery and other tech with only buggies, pit bulls and orcas, it’s impossible to even having a chance of winning.
Let us unlock those units to even the odds a bit so that it isn’t a sure loss.

I for one would like a fight where my units are 1 level lower than my opponent or less. This is if I have a level 8 army, my opponent can have a level 9 army or lower. Too challenging to have a level 11 army as my enemy, let alone a level 12 one. Has anyone ever seen a match with a 5+- level difference between two players? It seems that counters become broken at that point. The lower army can't win unless the supposed victor lets him.

What is the level difference cap for tib league? Is there even one? If not, why not?
Image upload won't work but I just played a game where my units are between 9.0 and 10.3 and his are 13.3-14.3. We are also only 5 places apart on the ladder, this wasn't a challenge match. Why?

I did win this particular game but there's many I lose similar to this with units up to 15. If I win sometimes I get +16 and I lose 24 for a defeat, which I really don't understand as they are both higher than me in the league and have much higher levels.

Hi @Trolloween,
Your units need to have an average unit level of 11 (within 4 of the level cap for Tiberium League) in order to trigger a Challenge Battle.

OK that's strange. But why do I gain so few medals compared to what I lose when it would ordinarily be a challenge match and they are sometimes several hundred places above me in the ladder? It feels really inconsistent.
Also take two scenarios, if I am matched against someone in masters with lvl 13 units and it's a challenge game for me. But I can then play the next match against someone in the top 10 with lvl 15 units and I lose 24 medals. This doesn't seem fair to anyone.

Hiya,
For the inconsistent medal gains/losses, do you happen to have any screenshots of the battle results. What should happen is if they have a higher medal count than you, you will earn more medals for a win and lose fewer medals for a defeat. If that's not what's actually happening, then it may be a bug. Screenshots would be helpful for me to see exactly what's going on in that case.

I don't currently but I'll save them next time it happens.

That means "11 or lower", right? In the example given by Trolloween, the level difference surely is so big that it should be a Challenge Battle.

The average unit level needs to be within 4 of the level cap for that league. Having an average of lower than 11 for Tiberium would be outside of the required 'within 4 of the level cap for that league.'
Some exampeles: For Tiberium, that means it needs to have an average of 11 or higher. For Master League, that would mean an average of 9 or higher.

I'm not sure if I understand. The larger the unit level difference between two players is, all the more it should be a challenge battle, no?
So, from the point of view of the player with the better units, the lower the other players' units are, that should make it more likely to be a challenge battle? And not less?

Not quite. Restrictions were put in to prevent a player from only being able move forward. If you got into a loop where you could only get Challenge Battles, you wouldn't lose any medals for a defeat, but would continue to earn medals for a victory. Having the restrictions (must be within 4 of the level cap, opponent must be at least 1.5 levels higher than you, and the opponent must be within 1.5 of the level cap) limits when you can get Challenge Battles, to hopefully prevent an endless Challenge Battle loop.

I did assume this and it makes sense, but I don't think it's going to work out all that well in tiberium league since the number of people with all 14-15 units is really low. So at lvl 10 I'm going to face mostly units at 11-13 but no challenge matches. Then when my units are 11 I'm going to face the same people but suddenly rank up much faster because half my games will be challenges.
I can see how it makes sense below masters though. It's going to months before I have level 11s at my current rate, this will be rough.
