Product being confused for piracy. Help!

I actually own the first decade. When I installed it previously, it worked. But now, on my new computer, the anti piracy measures within the code is on, even though I bought a legitimate copy.  I need help!

    Ah alright 🙂

In this case I suggest you to re-install the game, the installer is taking care of the serial encryption and stores is on mulitple places (Thats why you cannot move the game folder from one pc to another).

@DeffDread97 have you already tried to activate the game via Origin and could you please provide us the exact error message?

    Cheers

@EA_Bastian Command & Conquer: The First Decade doesn't exist as Origin product. You can't activate it on Origin.

@DeffDread97 I assume you're talking about buildings blowing up in Red Alert 2 or later games? If I remember correctly, to prevent that you need to make very sure you both installed and are running the games in elevated rights (Administrator) mode.

I have done that, when it is in elevated rights, an error message occurs

I really can't help you any further unless you actually tell me what that error message says... 😕mileyindifferent:

Which Windows version are you running on?

My os is Windows 8.1. When I run the ra2.exe in administrative mode, there is no error message(sorry about that), but it still has anti-piracy measures. When I get rid of of the blowfish.dll, it says "****Fatal****String manager failed to initialized properly".

So you named your thread "Product being confused for piracy.", where does it say that? Can you show us a screenshot? Never heard about something like this before.

You should never remove blowfish.dll, this file is needed to read the encrypted mix files

Yeah, that thread name is a bit wierd. But the anti piracy measures, like in red alert 2 the base blowing up after 1 min, are in effect.  Could there be a patch or extra file that I could use to fix it?

Thank you, but I have reinstalled it twice now. At this point I might as well wait and buy the current one, the Ultimate Collection. Its not that much and I get more games than the first decade. Thanks again.
