Infantry can be still ran over by vehicles, engineers can capture buildings, but no weapon does any kind of damage.What do you expect to see? Well, I think we can safely assume, no mission is safe from this Glitch.Trying to do Red Alert Retaliation Mission Allied 3, and the bug happened to me.I noticed that I could capture buildings (oddly), but that was all I could do.While it's funny Engineer rushing a base with Engineers that have got Fireproof Jackets and Insulated Boots, it's really messed up. I've never seen anything quite like it in my life.Comment:EA... REALLY... I mean... REEEAAALLLLLYYYYYYYYYDid nobody test this game, did you even have a Beta Tester Group (I wasn't invited, so I assume not), this isn't shelf worthy.Most Suitable Analogy:If I went into a bakery, and bought a loaf of bread, I wouldn't expect to be given dough, and for that baker to still call it the finished product, bread.

Assuming you're taking the Quote from Firestorm NOD Campaign.You got that mixed up with the other quote "Listen to the Screams... Listen... That is the sound of your extinction" taken from the Firestorm GDI Campaign.

I just spent 5 Hours so far (mission still not been able to finish), trying to complete the mission without this bug showing up.I have got about 20-30 Save games of the same mission just crawling along to get the mission done. I've tried it all, Engineer Rush (in APC's) had the most success, but I couldn't then complete the mission as the bug showed up just seconds later.This is a bad joke, sorry, but £17.99 GBP for this, I've got to say it (EVERYONE'S THINKING IT)...WHAT ARE YOU THINKING EA!MAKE SURE THAT YOU FINISH THE GAME BEFORE YOU RELEASE IT!

Some Updates, This has happened on several soviet missions (none for cold war GDI). Many were not related to a gap generator. I had mixed success saving and reloading, the instance that spawned this post saving/loading did not fix, but other times it did.

Some of the things I noticed tending to trigger it, was spawning Spy planes on the map (a soviet only thing) while also doing group commands and spawning air drops. I think the spy planes tend to be a bit buggy and trip/trigger some lag/desync and unintended effects.

Notably, on the now infamous chronophere mission, the spy plane can trigger the fail state if it passes over the chronophere (not just scans, but passes over). Those having trouble on that mission, just don't use the spy plane at all, this worked for me (on top of the obvious, don't move near it, kill all radar domes).

I actually have a save file from just before this happens and can replicate it every time. For me, it's got something to do with engaging a group of riflemen and rocket troopers using dogs, V2s or any other unit. If I leave the group alone, I can continue as normal.
Problem is, the group ultimately gets attacked by something, so the game still screws up.
If I load up a save from about 8 minutes prior to this and use different tactics, the group never materialise and the game carries on fine.

I think we should check back next year, give them chance to recall the game back again, and finish it. OK as a taster, but it's unstable and not worth playing at the moment.

This sort of thing keeps happening, and it's due to very poor management within EA. As a company, they are just greedy and don't have the necessary respect for their employees to give them the time they actually need in order to finish a game properly before release.

I thought this was an EA game, so why does it have more bugs and game-breaking glitches than a Bethesda game. At least with Bethesda, you know it's going to be broken and unfinished, and you can at least take measures to avoid the bugged bits or pick up the game where they left off and fix it yourself. With EA, that isn't expected, and you can't just pick up where they left off to fix the broken bits.

It's a shame, can someone change the management within EA please, because obviously whoever's in control there hasn't got a clue about how long it takes to actually make a game properly.

My personal opinion, it's the people in charge of EA (at the top) that are to blame. Not the programmers, because given enough time, they would have a finished product, not a rushed piece of barely functional code.

Happens on Red Alert too, and doesn't have to do with a gap generator. just randomly happens. its frustrating in a 30+ min mission having to restart because the game bugs out.

This is a pretty huge bug. Not being able to complete the Soviet campaign is an integral part of the game. Makes the whole game feel broken.
