World screen is black

So, I am using chrome, got disconnected during an attack.  After 30 seconds (usually will auto reconnect quickly), I decided to reload (since it hadn't).

Reload screen stays and the scroll bar on the side that would be present in the game appears on the side, but nothing else changed.

Closed chrome, opened new window, and attempted to reload couldn't get past load screen after 2 minutes.  Restart computer.

Open chrome, load the game (a little slower than usual), but it loads.  Base screen and everything that has a fixed position relative to the screen appears per usual (bases' names, news updates, chat box etc), but the world screen is black.  Still has full functionality.  I see the circles emanating from my base, but my base is blacked out with the rest of the world.  Finish destroying base, which I could find because I new where it ought to be with relation to my main base.  Side note, base attack screen pops up and functions fine, except momentary disconnect after each attack (5 secs of less).

After I destroyed the base, ruin appears brown on black, and now bases, outposts, and camps appear (on top of a ruin) with all else being black.  When I move the screen, all the images blur as they are moved, and even jumping to a different base doesn't remove them/reset world screen, just adds more to the blur.  

This is how I have arrived at my pitiable state, and I am curious if anyone knows how to fix this issue.
