Dead space продолжение
Hi, EA community and Dead Space developers!
I’d like to share some thoughts about the future of the series — and right off the bat, I’d love to see more of the story around the Ishimura and the colony, not just the ruins Isaac walks through.
In the remake, we now see the aftermath: eerie, atmospheric, and incredibly detailed ruins. But behind every damaged corridor and every broken door is the story of the people who lived and worked there. It would be amazing to experience that backstory in a game: how the Ishimura crew carried out their mission, how the colony operated, how people interacted, and how they tried to cope with the growing horror. This could give an even deeper dive into the lore and amplify the emotional impact of what Isaac later discovers.
Here are a few ideas I’d love to see in a future project:
DLC or a remake for the first Dead Space game, or a full sequel in a new format.** I don’t just want “another run through the corridors” — I want a story that reveals the world before the catastrophe.
Play as the Ishimura crew.** Live through the days when everything still felt like a “normal shift,” and then gradually see the situation spiral out of control. Show the decisions the crew made, the tactics and tools they used to survive, and where it all led by the time Isaac arrives.
Focus on the way of life — and its destruction.** First, show the everyday routine: shifts, protocols, interactions between departments, even small conflicts and the crew’s daily grind. Then, show how that order falls apart: malfunctions, panic, desperation, and the final attempts to save anything at all. This contrast would make the atmosphere even more powerful.
Give more focus to Isaac’s wife’s story.** Her fate is one of the most heartbreaking threads in the plot. It would mean a lot to honor her story: show her journey, her struggle, and her final days in that terrifying environment. This wouldn’t only add depth to Isaac’s personal tragedy but also make the game’s world emotionally richer.
Overall, I don’t just want “more horror” — I want more story, more human stories, and more contrast between how things used to be and what they turned into. Dead Space has always been not just about monsters, but about people and the choices they make. And this side deserves its own spotlight.
What do you think, community? What parts of the Ishimura and colony’s history would you like to see explored in a new game?
We really appreciate your passion for the game, thanks so much for taking the time to add your feedback here! EA_Barry.
