Dead Space 2 not launching. Bought on steam loads to black screen then force closes itself. uninstalled and reinstalled on all storage drives running as admin still nothing. All drivers up to date. Pops up no errors when doing so. Occasionally it wont force close but will get stuck on black screen no sound no nothing.
Also trying to attach MyMSInfo to this post but is a unsupported file type.

EA Staff (Retired)Hey @SaltySchlonger Do you have any other programs or security software running when you attempt to launch DS3? If not can you try launching your device in a Clean Boot and check if this continues? If so would it be possible to get a DxDiag?
No other programs besides steam which is where I purchased the game from. Launched device in clean boot nothing same result. attached is DxDiag
EA Staff (Retired)Hey @SaltySchlonger To check can you try disabling any overlays like Steam, Origin, Discord and any others that may be running and check if this continues?
If so, can you try the following:
Ran system file checker, tried different compatibility settings, windows and GPU are up to date. All with no success. No overlays running in background besides steam which I cant open the game without opening steam.
EA Staff (Retired)Hi @SaltySchlonger Thanks for going through these steps, to check do you have anything aside from your Mouse and Keyboard plug into your PC's USB ports? If so, can you try unplugging everythying else and seeing if the game will launch? If not, do you have any other accounts on the device to see if the same thing happens when using them?
EA support suggested I make another account with admin privileges tried that with same result. Nothing plugged in besides mouse and keyboard. Tried unplugging all usb still same result.
EA Staff (Retired)Hi @SaltySchlonger Thanks for the update, can you confirm that you are running through the Nvidia GPU versus the Intel chip?
I Do not have the option to select preferred graphics processor. I have a single GPU and my CPU does not have onboard graphics. I am assuming it defaults to my GPU and since I do not have any other option to choose from it doesn't pop up.
