When I load up a saved game in Dead Space 3, I do not end up in the exact place I save and exit, nor do I start anywhere near my last location. Can you please fix this problem?

This is nonsense. I played for 2 hours and I clearly saw an autosave message displaying when I reached a checkpoint. I can't explain much because of the spoilers. If the game has such few autosave points that means I have to keep my pc running deadspace untill I do. This is to anoying. Deadspace 1/2 had a nicer save / load system. I don't get it why they have to switch to one where you can't quit the game after 2 hours and leave you pc on so you won't loose your location in the game. It's not optimal not the least...

I am having the same problem... played a hour and a half for nothing, I have to start from the beginning again...

The whole save point system stinks in this game. I had made it all the way to midship on terra nova and had to quit, only to have to start back at the tram station when I came back. I had listened to the audio and unlocked the door to go on to the next level... what a crock.

This worked for me. You might want to try it. Open Origin and go to "My Games". Right Click on Dead Space 3.Select "Show Game Details".Select the "Cloud Storage" Tab.UN-CHECK the box that says "Enable Cloud Storage for All Games"I play as a single player and this worked for me. I guess my saved games are now on my hard drive and that's fine with me. At least I can pick up where I left off after a save. I am not sure if and how this might affect Multiple player games.Before I did this, I was ready to return the game. I had to play parts over and over again. Same thing has happend to me on two occations...First was when out of nowhere the connection with the EA server was lost...I dont recall exacly when this happend but when i stopped playing was on the second optional mission right at the end(playing solo), when i loaded the game it placed me in the hunter chase scene way before that...The second(happend about a few mins ago) I had my save on Tau Volantis...or w.e...right after the scene where your about to fall with the snow truck thats also on the demo...when i loaded the game it placed me near the place where the big tunnel is broken by that huge necromorph...i didnt even had my new suit on...Ill like a fix for this as now that i play im constanly concerned that my save file is going to act up again....The game is beyond my expectations...and I adore it...best iteration yet...only thing i dont like so far is the sound where you place the scavenger bots...kills the mood...heres an idea for a fix...place a light on the back of the suit near the hp, stasis meters...the light is off when not even near a spot, red when in range, orange when closing in, and finally green when around the spot...using the sound of the scavengert bot radar is enough I believe.

Coming from DS1 and DS2, I found the autosave of DS3 a horrible downgrade.
Just played through chapter 5, did an optional mission, clearly saw the autosave logo at the end of the side mission in the top right corner, waited for it, logged out, and today i was pushed back to the end of chapter 5 losing all progress on the side mission that took me 2 hours.

EA fearing we would run out of HDD space by storing a dozen savefiles of 400 KB each?
Total nonsense.

i have played this numerous times on ps3 and now on the ps4. The download version works fine. I don't even try the disc anymore. it definitly has serious issues.

Platinum this game on 5 usernames. It's available on the ps4 if you have the ps4 now added. You can import a ps3 save if you have one. I would be happy to help on the co-op levels if you are ever on the ps4

Literally what a support staff recommended i do. Absolutely a joke. I rebought this game and all of its dlc just for pc to find out it has even more problems than on ps3. Jesus. At least i can play now. Still majorly annoying in the year 2020 that EA has yet to correct issues to this day.
Edit: I stand corrected, it worked while i had the game loaded in active memory on pc. Once i closed out the game and reopened it, the save was present but the game did not recognize the save. Holy jesus. What a joke

The disc version will fail on a regular basis. I have had no problem after getting the download version. (at EA's expense)

I’m playing this on Xbone 1X on 11th of Feb 2019, and this saving after Conner tower garbage is still going on. 6 YEARS AFTER THIS BUG WAS FIRST MENTIONED.
I haven’t bought a game from EA in 4 years due to their endless exploitatative contempt.And Good to know that they are getting worse and my justification is reinforced by them every day.

other problems that can wipe your save file. Going online with a host with a different mode setting ( regular game , plus, different difficulty settings )
I believe that problem may have been fixed recently because when I now try to join a friends game it tells me incompatible mode. I would suggest that you always do a manual save AFTER you see a progress saving point point. Always select continue from last save not continue game or who knows where you will end up. If you are on chapter 14 and you go online with someone who is on chapter 6 or 7 you are doomed. I suggest you finish the game - have a completed save file and then go back and do the optional co op. also, I can tell you that the download version of the does not seem to have near the problems of the disc version. Check my previous posts. I have tried 3 different (new) discs on 4 different ps3 consoles and 3 different user names. every one failed. The download version has worked ok on all 8 of my ps3 consoles.
