[EA App] Dead Space 3 "Activate Your Game"

I can no longer play Dead Space 3. Every time I open the game, the activate your game page pops up. When I try signing in with my email and password, it tells me "incorrect email/password." However, when I put in my username and password, another popup shows up that "We can't activate the game on this computer". The "enter product key" button doesn't function.

Things I've already tried:

  • Clearing EA App cache
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
  • Deleting files in the license folder inside Program Data
  • Deleting all Files in the Temp folder in appdata
  • using CCleaner to delete old registries and restarting my computer

I just want to play this game again, please help.

  • I am still having these issues. It wants me to log into my origin account, but it constantly gives me the error: Invalid email or password, which can't be right because I remember the login for it.

I'm assuming it has something to do with the Origin servers going down, so it can't authenticate with them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • So I noticed no one replied to the above, but wanted to say that I was having similar issues to the original poster and the above steps provided by Shepard helped me with my issues! So if anyone else runs into the same problems, try the above. Oh, and thank you to Shep for the solutions!

    @4IXMUR

    Try these.

    Delete EA License Files:

    • Make sure the EA app is closed.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER.
    • Enable View Hidden Files and Folders
    • Delete all files in the "License" folder.

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER".
    • Your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
    • (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

After these, I typically clear the cache in the EA app one more time and then relaunch it.

    Hey, @4IXMUR

I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you're still experiencing issues with the game. If you need any further assistance, please let us know!

    Cheers!

  • "Dead Space collection" was purchased on Steam. More than a year ago.

First part - everything in normal
Second part - everything in normal
Third part -  can't even run the game.

Start playing on Steam, it turned on EA app, i log in.

    Than message appears:

"The app couldn`t read the game`s licence file"

There was a suggest to "clearing app cache" and restart app. But nothing changed.

Reinstall the game - didn't help.

What now? How to fix this problem?
