Launch error - "Too many computers have accessed this account"

I thought this was fixed from the previous update. But it's back again.

Error

Too many computers have accessed this account's version of Dead Space Digital Deluxe Edition recently. Please try again later.

Tech support said to not launch the game for 24hrs. What kind of fix is that?

  • Hi @Icebourno This error message can pop up from EA's security if to many attempts to access an account have happened. Our support does not have the ability to override this, some of the things that can cause this are connectivity issues, using VPN software, setting up a form of remote or streaming play, possible malicious attempts, etc.

For now, I would recommend waiting for 24 hrs for this to be removed, then check if you can access your account and Dead Space. If not please reach back out to our support to take a further look.

  • @EA_Illium With respect, but this is an absolutely stupid type of DRM to impose.

I get this error when attempting to play the game from my 2nd PC, no VPN software, no remote play, no streaming, no 'malicious attempt', whatever this means.

I simply want to play the game on my 2nd PC and I can't do so.

I'm currently in the process of trying to get a response on what the limit is and I've gone through about 6 EA reps and not a single one can answer the question.

I will also note that the Steam version of the Dead Space Remake doesn't have this limitation, I have successfully ran the Steam version on 3 different PCs within the same 24 hour window, so why is EA gimping their own product on their own service?

Generally a company tries to reward and incentivise people playing a game on their own service.

Instead those foolish enough to buy this game on the EA App get no achievements (unlike the Steam version) and we have to have these stupid restrictions on how many PCs we can play the game on.

    Hey Everyone

As this thread is a bit old at this point, things have changed and been updated, we are going to lock this down so that we can prevent any necro-posting.

If you run into any further issues please create a new thread or add your information to an existing thread so that we can begin tracking accordingly!

    Cheers!
