(PC) Scavenger Bot Missing...

Im having a bit of the same problem, tho i never managed to get it into my inventory.

Just says "Press button 3" and Nothing happens there is no bot in the inventory slot 3

Have you tried pressing K to see if it's waiting in a Bench near you?

and how would it get to a bench when i just picked it up??

i tried pressing "K" and all the places on the menu for scavenger bots are empty. And yes, I tried going to the bench and checked about every menu/option there is in it to no avail.

If necessary I can take screenshots/vids to show the problem.

Okay, well I more or less found the solution. *Spoilers* You pick up a second Scavenger Bot once you get on the planet. I only have 1 bot when I'm suppose to have two, but hey, I'd rather one than none.

Yeah, unfortunately that's not exactly an answer. I'm suffering the same problem as you. I tried Co-op with a friend who just got the game last night. I had two scavenger bots (I had already landed on the planet) but when the game started with him, I only had one.

Yes, I tried "K" to check if it was at the bench or something, but no, it states I only have one scavenger bot when I should have two. I went back to solo play after that and I still have only one scavenger bot.

We need some input on this, EA. At least acknowledging you have the problem and are looking into it would help.

Same problem here, except on PS3. Guess it's a glitch in the programing that tells if you join a game before the bot is avaiable it won't yet you have it then we you can have it, it's saved that you don't; and then if you replay the mission it reconizes that you've already played it so it assumes you already have the bot and doesn't give it to you again. One idea I can think of maybe if you play as Carver and join another game maybe when they pick it up for the first time you're get it again, doubt it but maybe.

I was thinking about that myself. I'll test it out and post a reply on that. However if that's the case that's a very bad oversight and should be fixed soon, since Co-op is basically encouraged in this game but it turns out ruining your single player file.

I wouldn't say ruins it, but takes out a very helpful part, but at least you can still beat it with out the bot.

I may have used the wrong word. By ruining it I meant it may alter your single player save file by producing the scavenger bot bug, not the ruining of the gameplay itself.

Although, in all fairness, Scavenger bots are a very important part of Dead Space 3, specially since they're the only ones that can collect Ration Seals for MKV mods.
