There are three total in the game and having two with limited output on Rations means less MK-V items....
I had 3, played some co-op, now I only have 1. I cannot get the other 2 back they are simply gone and never return.

Agree same here. I already beat the game on new game and new game+. The game doesn't give you new scav bots even after you find them again. In fact, you cant find them anymore, even when you pick it up the first time. First one I lost was in the abyss? the carver co-op mission where you're in that last mind warp period and I dropped one and never got it back. Probably due to failed NAT mapping for the bot. While the other one I disconnected and now only got 1 -.-. Really annoying bug.
