There are 3 major graphical problems in this new sequel 1.Helmet flashlight, 2. SSAO, 3. Flashlight shadows... I now this game is just a console port and it had to be optimized (downgraded visuals) in order to gain performance for the choppy console hardware but there are certain things that do not require extra PC performance to show up:
When did the Bug occur?
-Isaac helmet flashlight: Is kinda cool when you first arrive at the crashed ship in chapter 3 or 4 (I don't remember), the lightsource from Isaac's helmet looks outstanding and it really helps in the darkest areas, but for some reason after chapter 5, there's not more helmet flashlight.. never again.
-There is a problem with SSAO, it doesn't work in Tau Volantis, it seems that designers didn't like it the way SSAO blends with white snow. But come on!, it looks awful for a 2013 game when an object does not cast any shadow... it looks like it's floating in the air.
-Flashlight shadows: There's nothing more to say, even dead space 1 had this very basic effect...... there are parts when SSAO is not working, and without the shadows being cast by the flashligt, it looks like a 90s game.
Certainly those are things that can be easily fixed via patch.
What did I do?
I tried different graphical tweaks in nvidia inspector, I tried disabling SLI, tried low, medium, high, very high in game configurations, y also tested a lot of custom configurations and nothing happened, there's a lot people complaining for this, specially for the flashlight shadows bug.
What do I expect?
I expect to see shadows being cast when I aim to objects and necromorphs with the weapon flashlight, SSAO working in Tau Volantis and the cool helmet flashlights always.
