do you have enough points built up?
some missions require 40-50 power to be able to selecct them.
one way to build up power or infuence points very quickly
is to get the merchant (in skyhold) that you can buy influence from.
keep repeating the gather coin quests, back-to-back, to build up coin more quickly
and use the coin to buy (then sell back) the influence offers.
which can be done repeatedly, as long as you don't leave the buy/sell
screen.
i was able to build up 250 influence points and like 4-8 perk points
in very short order, once i had enough coin to buy/sell all 10 of the
highest priced influence items.
