Cannot physical install - forcing download

I solved my earlier problem of redemption code but now the game won't install from the discs? I have no option to install from the disc and when i click download game it just starts eating up the bandwidth, doesn't even attempt to use my disc drive...

It's a sizeable download, and i live with a few other people who are trying to use the internet, which in australia isn't the best in the first place. I really need to be able to to a physical install from the discs.

Can you please help?

Is this because it's installing windows updates first? If so, please let me know ASAP so i can assure my housemates that their internet won't be eaten up for the next day or so (**bleep** Aussie internet, 26 gb is going to take like 20 hours...)

    I feel your pain, mate.

I bought the disks rather than spend 3 days downloading the game like I did for TOR...but have had all sorts of install issues myself.

    When's this NBN happening.....

Never if the government would get it's way, but this is seriously a pain in the rear.

I've been sitting here for an hour trying to get it to install, and it hasn't even started yet.

this may be annoying to you support guys, but i'm going to keep bumping this because frankly errors about getting the game installed should take priority over in game ones.

fixed it myself, never mind. Not buying another game that ever goes through Origin though.

EA deserves all the piracy it gets.

  • I had no problems doing the physical install which was on 4 dvd's for me it did require logging in into origin when running the setup on the disc and then entering the gamekey if I remember correctly where it opened up the game list with DAI added to it and a "install progress bar" below it while it was reading off the dvd.
