Cant download and install DLC. "Download Failed".

I just bought DLC for DA: O, and i can't install it. When entering the DLC menu the DLC fails (Doesn't go past 0%) and i can't install it. Really wish to play it and not have wasted my money. Any sol...

Greetings:
We have resolved the configuration issue with the Dragon Age Origins DLC download servers. In-game downloading should be working again, depending on DNS propagation. I was able to re-download all my DLC this morning.

Hi guys,

We really want to help you, but in order to do that we DO need as much details as possible so I'm closing this thread to make sure that everybody has all the information they need before contacting us.

If the issue persists after trying the solutions provided there, please see my earlier statement and create a new thread with as much details as possible.

Ideally the information we need is:

When you bought the game (before of after Origin)

Where you bought the game (Steam, Origin, Amazon, Gamefly, etc...)

What version of the patch is installed

What version of the game you have (Digital, hard copy, what edition)

What exactly is happening (Is the DLC showing under installed, but not triggering in-game? Is the download starting at all, etc...)

If the DLC appears to be installed but is not triggering, what is happening? Is the location specific to the DLC not appearing on the map or can you see it but the cutscene doesn't start when you travel there?

Hi guys,

The team is working on fixing the issue with the download server. In the meantime we would like to invite you to install the content manually by following these steps:

1. Right click on the links below and select "Save Target As", or the equivalent in your browser. Save the .dazip file to your computer. If your browser tries to rename it to a .zip file, rename it back to .dazip after download.

2. Find the daupdater.exe application. It is usually located under \bin_ship in your Dragon Age folder (for example C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daupdater.exe). Double click on it to open it.

3. Click on "Select DAZIPs". Navigate to where you have saved the .dazip file and open it.

4. Now the .dazip file will appear on the Install tab. Select it on the list and click "Install Selected".

Hello there. I just installed the Stone Prisoner and it appeared to work using DAUpdater. When I went to go view my DLC, it showed The Stone Prisoner being available for purchase for 1200 points. After approximately 5 seconds it vanished and begin trying to download, and then failed. It does not show up under my installed DLC. Any idea on what I can try next?

This method does not work for Stone Prisoner DLC.
I have installed the DLC (DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip) via the link you provided and it does install, it even shows up ingame under installed DLC, but the quest does not trigger in the game. After reaching lothering and completing the Lothering and the imperial highway main quest the quest for finding Sulcher’s pass does not trigger and thus i cant play the DLC.
I first installed the DLC on a fresh 1.0 vanilla version of the game, and it did not work. I then updated the game to 1.05 and loaded up my savefile where i have just left lothering for the first time but alas, no Sulcher's pass, no control rod, no DLC ingame. The quest does not show up in the journal but the DLC is installed and enabled according to the menues ingame. The blood dragon armor and all other DLC works just fine thou.
I took the liberty of finding another version of the DLC (DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip) with a different filesize (yours had a size of 301MB and the other just 268MB) but with the same result, it is activated in the DLC section but it does not trigger ingame.
It seems like the Stone Prisoner DLC must be installed via the games own downloader for it to trigger correctly ingame. Eighter that or i am having some really freaky problem with my PC. Mind you that i have installed and played DAO with all it's DLC installed on this computer before, and since every other DLC seems to work just fine i've come to the conclusion that there is something special about that piece of content.

    The location for Sulcher's pass does not appear at all on the map. Checked my CD-key also and its there in the DAO updater. Maybe this has become a whole new problem and i should open a ticket somewhere to have this resolved?

It's all DLCs that cannot be installed, right down to memory band etc. Not just those 3.
