Can't find iron bull in skyhold? :spoilers:

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I'm nearing the end of the game, about to talk to Morrigan and go find the mythal dragon before the final fight.

But since about the time I ran through the Hissing Wastes after "Wicked Eyes, wicked hearts" I have not been able to find Iron Bull anywhere in skyhold. His head icon is still in the bar in skyhold, but he's not in his chair there, and I can't find him in the establishment at all.

I've looked 2-3 times through all of skyhold that I know how to get to & I can't find him anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes, Iron Bull may not render when you walk to his chair in the pub. Try quick saving while you are right in front of it and then loading the quick save. Always worked for me.

Ironically as soon as I posted this I went back to his regular chair and there he was. He was missing for a few days I guess, between about the time I finished Wicked Eyes, WIcked hearts, and What Pride Has Wrought.
Now that I finished the latter he's back in his chair. I wonder if I missed something in-between?

Perhapse. Most of the time, he renders properly. You may just have had a run of bad luck. I am aware of nothing that makes him leave Skyhold durring that time. In fact, as far as I know, the only character that leaves Skyhold for any reason is Blackwall. And then you get a mission to bring him back.

I didn't assume he'd left skyhold, I assumed that he was somewhere exotic that I just hadn't found and/or forgot about or some such. But thanks for the heads up about him not rendering, that may've been the problem the whole time.

I found him - he starts round the corner outside the tavern. Leave the tavern through the exterior door, then turn left around the tavern - you can't miss him.
