Can't Play DAO
It's sad that I just bought this game and downloaded. So excited to play again. Start a new game get to first cutscene and freeze. No subtitles seen or convo dialogue so I'm thinking options are messing with it. CTRL ALT DEL, restart the game mess with the options. Turn my res to a 4:3 and my graphics down to med. Double check the sub options and start again. Same thing. CTRL ALT DEL again and run it in compatibility mode. Still not working. So now I've wasted 3 hours trying to figure out what's wrong and I'm just so frustrated I don't even want to play anymore. $30 wasted I guess.
Hi @tangerinesky812 Are you seeing the game getting an unresponsive tag in task manager when this happens?
also, when you have a moment can we also try the following?
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair Games (Go to My Collection > Select the tile Dots > Repair)
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Other VC++ Link)
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
