Character Creation: Character is missing.

Hey, can you check for driver updates? Render failures of this sort are frequently down to driver issues.

I uninstalled, updated the driver, restarted my computer, and then reinstalled the game and my character still isn't showing up.

I can't think of anything else to do. I took time off of work to play this game, and it's very frustrating not being able to play and wasting that time off. ☹️

Im having the same issue and i updated my driver right before i installed da -inquisition

I'm having the same problem, although everything has been updated that I could update and I've installed the recommended drives [like the nvidia one].

My DA: O and DA2 games work fine, I checked them both and the graphics/saves/game play are all the same and are running just fine. I can get to the start screen of Inquisition and it looks normal, I can choose the race/class/ect and that all looks fine. Once I get to the character creator my character is missing, although I can click on the sliders/voice/continue.

I tried to continue without seeing the character just to see if it was only the character creator that wasn't working: none of the graphics after the creator work. This is a screenshot I took: image link. I can hear the voices and effects just fine, as well as click on the options. But theres nothing being displayed except some quick flashes of light?

I had thought it was just the character creator that wasn't working, but now I know it's more than just that.

do you know what graphics card your computer has? because im having the same problem and i think it might have something to do with the graphics card

Okay I am 95% sure the graphics do not work because of whatever video/graphics card you have because I have the same problem I went here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri and ran my computer with DA: I and it said that my Video card doesn't meet the dedicated ram requirement. A new video card will cost 30$-100$ depending on what you get but I'm gonna say to go with whatever card is recommended on the back of the DA: I case in the system requirements section.

Same problem, all drivers are updated and I should be fine according to systems requirements lab. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, updated my graphics card, have everything on all the lowest graphics settings, but nothing.

Hey. Do any of you have Intel graphics cards? Those are below the minimum required for Inquisition. I have the same, extremely frustrating problem; and some simple searching showed that there was no way to get around it except for getting a better card. 

So I was looking back the driver install instructions, thinking maybe I had missed a step with installation, when I noticed that one of the requirements (at least, for AMD, I didn't look into any others) is Windows 7 OR 8.1, not 8. Upgrading to Windows 8.1, while a mild hassle filled with its own problems, allows me to play Inquisition, no problems. Hopefully this helps some of you, as well!
