Dragon Age: Awakening Physical Copy with Dragon Age: Origins Digitial Copy [PS3]

So i previously bought Dragon Age Origins off the PS Network an began playing it... now that ive beaten it i got my awakening add on content on disc back from my bro an when i  put the awakening disc into my ps3 it tells me i need to take it out an put the origins disc in to continue. problem is i dont have a disc copy of origins.. y wont the awakening patch jus download to my system over the origins game already installed?? need help...

I recently bought DA:O on the psn and was trying to play awakenings on the disc but when I put the awakenings disc in it was saying there was no DA:O saved data. I have already beat DA;O, I was wondering if anybody knew how to fix this? I rather not have to buy awakening all over again.

I purchased Origins on the  PSN however my awakening Add On is disk based purchased from a retailer. i cant seem to play the add on because when i instll the cd im asked to put in the  disk to continue.... obviously dont have a disk for Origins.. how can this be fixed... NEED REAL HELP form the bioware team.... ive been to toooo many forums or communtiy servers an alot of guess work... i want a bioware team members help....

Here I am, some years later of that post, having the SAME problem... Doesn't EA really care for their costumers that much? It is absurd that someone from EA even has the courage to come to the post and say "I believe (BELIEVE! DOESN'T EVEN KNOW!) you can't." How can't I? Is it your game or not? Isn't it the same game? Is it written somewhere "Don't be the next fool to buy the physical copy of Dragon Age Awakening after having the digital copy because you won't be able to play it"?
I demand a better answer, an explanation and an URGENT solution for this or I want my money back! And no, that's not the retailer's fault, it is EA's. I want the money back from you if you can't make it work!

I'm having this same issue and havent found a solution.  The whole reason I purchased and played through origins again was to play Awakening... and now it doesnt work.
