Dragon Age Inquisition - Visual Artifacts

I'm getting some visual artifacts on DAI. I'm not sure but i think i only got these at 2 locations of this particular area of the game. I don't remember seeing these on any other game before. Is that a Dragon Age issue or my gpu is dying? I recorded 2 videos at the location. One before closing a breach and one after.

That does look strange, but I doubt your GPU is dying.

Could you post some more information about your system? PC specs, settings in-game, are your running dual GPUs, etc.

    I have a Intel I5 - 3450, 3.10 GHz CPU (quad-core)
    8 GB ram.
    AMD R9 280x Saphire GPU
    Windows 7

The graphic settings were at high but i turned off tesselation, both anti-aliasing. I also turned V-sync on because of screen tearing.

  • I highly doubt your gpu is dieing . I have the exact same artifacts on the exact same spot. None of my others games (GTA V, Farcry 4, Mortal Kombat X) show artifacts; my GPU temperature never exceeds 70 degrees, and 3dmark firestrike runs without issues and artifacts.

I read somewhere that this is a problem of the Frostbyte eninge in combination with high-end GPU's.

    System:

    I5 3570k at stock

EVGA 970 GTX - factory overclocked. (Also tried underclocking to stock - didn't help)

    8 gb Ram

    Hello guys,

I started to play DA:I two months ago, has been a Light play, however, same as you, I encounter some artifacts only in RedCliff Village, I have only played two more zones althought none of them shows this kind of error/glitch.

    Check it out:

I use AMD gear so It can't be hardware or driver issue.

    Regards

I had glitches like this when I updated to the AMD Crimson driver (on an R9 390). I reverted back to the 15.11.1 beta driver (not to be confused with the Crimson 15.11.1 beta driver), and that solved it for me.

That wouldn't explain why an Nvidia user would have the same issue, however.
