Dragon Age Inquisition constant "session loss" due to Abilities or Followers

I'm under no circumstances a new player to the Dragon Age Franchise; which is why I've decided to air a complaint which should have been fixed a year ago when this game came out.

You see, I can get over EA never fixing the scar's 'not showing up' when making a female character. I can respect the effort in attempting to make better hairstyles even if these sucked to high heaven; but you really can't fix the fact that abilities like Lunge and Slash disconnect players from the server or even worse; certain area's are freaking unplayable due to crashing?

For instance, this game is nearly 2 years old, and yet the recent (if there even were) patches haven't solved this issue that I continue to read and experience. The problem being, if I do NOT venture into areas like the Exalted Plains without my team, I am inevitably shot to the main menu with the unhelpful text box of 'You lost connection to the Dragon Age Session' with no clear indication as to why, to which I must re-live the constant crashing until I personally figure out it's not even my fault? It seems that if I have a follower in a game which requires such that I am forced into the corner of forging into the game on my own to fight enemies or crash with the same text over and over.

This game is not new, November 18, 2014 is not a new game. Why then, do tell, can you not fix these simple errors so that we don't feel like we wasted 60$ on a game that seems to not even have a responsive team on duty to help us?

I've had many problems with these games and the fact that we either live with it or stop playing something we payed for is unexceptional.

If you're going to make a game keep it under watch and repair it when dozens of complaints are made, I may not understand how it works but you can at-least try to fix these errors so there's not need for a rage filled rant.

Sorry to say it, but I do expect better from a company that does so well and yet doesn't do what it promises.

Okay, I see a couple of things that need attention.

    1. Nvidia drivers need to be updated. Easiest way is to get GeForce Experience, if you don't have it and let it keep you up to date.

    2. SoundBlaster Drivers are from 2010, see if there is an update for those too.

    3. You have  a Razer Black Widow, Razer utilities have been reported to cause problems. Mine does not and I have a Death Adder but, Black Widow might. Check the Razer sight for updates to those drivers too.

See if getting up to date helps. If not, repair the game and start a new game to see if it makes a difference on a clean start.

  • I know it’s been many years since this has been posted, but i had to say something because that’s exactly what I’m dealing with now. I was on the quest to kill the fire demon for a wandering soul in Crestwood. When I try to close the rift I the room filled with water, I lose my session every time. Sometimes I can’t even switch characters. So if I’m not the inquisitor the entire battle, I’m basically f*cked and can’t close the rift or my session stops 😭

This is on the older side of time, I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Dragon Age: Inquisition, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
