Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY Fails to Activate

I bought the GOTY today but it will not work. I downloading all 40 GB of this game and it gives me the error "We could not activate DisplayName field missing from registry. on this computer using your account".

I uninstalled the game with REVO uninstaller making sure to get any registry values or leftover files. Re-downloaded the entire 40 GB again and installed the game again. It still gives the same error.

It says DisplayName field missing from registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition the DisplayName field says "Dragon Age™: Inquisition".

It is looking in the wrong place in the registry for the game.

I am on Windows 7 Professional.

    Thank you for the reports everyone, this appears to be resolved now.

    It is having the same issue as well.. first experience with Origin and will be my last.

    Alright, looks like the last time a similar issue occurred, it took weeks to fix:

    So I'm requesting my refund while I've still got a chance of getting it. I *may* look at getting this game again, perhaps in a year when they work out the launch-breaking bugs...

    Edit - I couldn't get the 'request refund' link working in firefox, try IE if you get the same issue (blank tab opens instead of refund form).

    Same problem here as well. Done the uninstall/reinstall steps multiple times and have graphics drivers up-to-date. Giving it till later today then getting a refund. Hopefully they can fix this.

    Yep, having the exact same issue here. Was about to go berserk here but now I'm at least somewhat relieved that it's not an issue on my side only. Still, it's frustrating as hell, hopefully it'll get fixed soon. 60$ for an error message seems rather steep.

    I hope this gets figured out fast, a lot of people seem to have this issue. So far I have been paying 60 € for an error message.

    Can't believe they're asking us to uninstall and reinstall 30go worth of game when the issue is on their end. Just Wow.

    Shouldn't be any surprise, but reinstalling won't do anything. Nor will any "solutions" they give us. Either get a refund or wait out this outage they're having.

    Hope you guys brought popcorn. It's gonna be a long wait.

    yea i went with a refund. 

    maybe i'll check back in a month, if i still remember to want to play the game then

    maybe....

    Also refounded, I don't wanna risk them taking months to fix it. When it will work i'll gladly buy it again.
